CONVEN Packaging Testing Laboratory consists of Labthink Packaging Safety Testing Center and CONVEN Information System. With a combination of testing instruments, cloud computation and internet of things, professional, comprehensive and multidimensional packaging testing service and technical support are provided to the customers.
1. Packaging Safety Testing Center
Labthink Packaging Safety Testing Center covers an area of over 410 m2, which is equipped with more than 120 sets of testing instruments and supports various packaging property testing items including barrier property, seal performance, heat seal performance, impact resistance, tensile property, friction property, flex durability, unwrapping property, hot tack performance, thickness, residual solvent and sanitary property, etc. All the testing operators and packaging specialists in packaging safety testing center are experienced and professional, which guarantees the data accuracy and testing efficiency. Quality analytic report or diagnostic report is provided to the customers to help them solve various quality problems. Additionally analysis on the packaging property as well as the compatibility of the package and the content inside the package can be given to the customers to help them select proper packaging materials and improve the packaging performance.
In September of 2013, the center has been accredited by CNAS, China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment. Labthink Packaging Safety Testing Center is the only one laboratory which passes the certification of CNAS in the plastics and packaging industry in China. The testing proficiency and test data of CONVEN Packaging Testing Laboratory has received a good reputation in the international market.
2. CONVEN Information System
CONVEN Information System is developed by Labthink, which can be used by the customers to control the remote laboratory. The customer can submit testing request online and send the test samples to Labthink Packaging Safety Testing Center. After the tests are finished, the customer can view or download test results online. CONVEN Information System is a great innovation in packaging testing industry, which saves the high cost of lab establishment and brings a perfect solution to the technical problems in mass data storage and internet application. With CONVEN Information System, a new type self-help packaging testing service is available and the tests can be performed in a short period at low cost, which is impossible in a third-party testing organization. In addition to the property tests of the packaging materials, it also provides the users with data management and statistical analysis, packaging quality diagnosis and analysis as well as packaging quality predication analysis. With CONVEN Information System, the customer can establish a quality control system so that the resource can be allocated properly. Additionally data tracking, data management and data analysis are available.
Independent Portal
CONVEN Information System is the customer’s laboratory. The user can log in the system in two ways.
1.) Log in CONVEN Information System from the login page
2.) Input the web address for the customer’s laboratory
The customer can manage the enterprise information including company logo and other basic information. The customer can manage the user account and assign user privileges. The customer can also manage other basic data including supplier and packaging material, etc.
Report Management
Features of CONVEN Information System:
Electronic Data Transmission: All the test data in CONVEN Information System are electronic data. The user can submit test request and download test report.
Monitoring Testing Process: After the test request are submitted online, the customer can view the testing progress of all test items.
Download Test Report: The customer can search test report by specifying the search conditions e.g. test request number or specimen ID and then download the test report.
Data Analysis
More valuable information is hidden in numerous test data and need to be found out. Only test report is provided in common testing service. In addition to the test report, based on numerous test data in Labthink database, a comprehensive data analysis is provided by Labthink Packaging Safety Testing Center according to the test results of the packaging materials and the property of the content inside the package. A diagnostic report or quality analytic report will be given, which covers the compatibility analysis of the package and the content inside the package, the standard values of the properties of the packaging material and advice on how to improve the processing parameters for the customer’s reference so that the customer can improve the quality of packaging materials and products accordingly.
Additionally there are many data comparison tools available in CONVEN Information System which can provide the customer with value-added service and help the customer to find out more valuable information from the historical data.
